Electronic Humidistat Sensors

  • Electronic Humidistat
Electronic Humidistat

Humidistats have a wide range of applications in any equipment that needs to detect relative humidity and changes in humidity with high accuracy.

They not only detect the relative humidity level but also provide an automatic switching function based on the level at which the humidistat is set.

Because of this switching capability, they are essential components in electrical equipment like air conditioning, humidifiers/dehumidifiers and where it is desirable to control humidity, such as in refrigerators and microwave ovens.

Humidistats are sometimes also referred to as hygrostats; however, this term is also used for devices fitted with a thermally sensitive heater that controls the humidity level, whereas a humidistat itself typically functions as a switch.

Maintaining a stable moisture balance in your home is crucial to preventing over-humidifying, which can result in mould spores. Likewise having an overly dry room that can be uncomfortable. The recommended home humidity level is within the range of 45 to 60 per cent depending on your personal preference.

Economical and electronic humidity sensors

We stock and supply a variety of humidistats and humidity sensors for HVAC applications and other purposes, including:

  •         Economical transmitters that measure both relative humidity and temperature, with optimised functionality for use in HVAC systems.
  •         Electronic room hygrostats with multiple switching outputs including independent outputs for relative humidity and temperature.

Again, full product specifications for the different models can all be found on the website, or if you have any specific enquiries or a particular application you need to cater for, please contact Envin Scientific today and we will be happy to help you choose the best humidistat or hygrostat.

  • Electronic Room Hygro-Thermostat 1 switching output each for temperature and humidity
  • Electronic Hygro-Thermostat with remote sensor head
  • Electronic room humidistat with 2 switching outputs
  • Electronic humidistat with remote sensor head
