Anti-reflection (AR) and Anti-Reflective Coatings

  • AR Coating
AR Coating

Anti-reflection or AR Coatings are applied to surfaces to minimise unwanted reflections within an optical system. Such coatings also increase the transmission or throughput.

These AR coatings address a range of requirements: Single layers for modest reflection reduction, Wavelength specific high performance, Multilayer for broadband reflection reduction and Multiwaveband high performance. Such coatings are available for a wide variety of substrate materials of different refractive indices covering the 200-8000nm region.
