Control your environment with temperature & humidity sensors

Envin Scientific’s range of temperature & humidity sensors allows you to control your environment for the comfort of inhabitants and employees, and to ensure any technical and industrial processes can proceed within the acceptable ranges of heat and moisture.

This is an area with far-reaching applications, including industries such as:

  • Agriculture
  • Air conditioning and cooling
  • Chemicals
  • Construction
  • Food
  • Livestock
  • Paper
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Textiles
  • Warehousing

Of course, there are many other professional premises where temperature & humidity sensors can help to maintain a comfortable environment, including in HVAC systems for business and residential premises alike.

Temperature and Humidity Sensors at Envin Scientific

At Envin Scientific we stock humidity & temperature sensors from recognised brands including Galltec-Mela and Polyga, and are happy to help with any guidance as to which is the best product for your specific application, and the relative benefits of the different sensing elements that are used. For example, the Mela capacitive sensing element detects humidity levels in air conditioning and ventilation, as well as in building management control systems, with accuracy over a large temperature range, good linearity and response time, and small hysteresis.

Meanwhile, the Polyga sensing element offers current, voltage and resistive outputs, giving it plenty of versatility in duct measurements and when placed in rooms. It is suitable for relatively high humidity levels and can be cleaned easily in water, with the advantage of not requiring a power source when used in passive transmitters and hydrostats. Together the range offers convenient ways to react to the readings taken by these sensing elements, with economical transmitters that can be used to trigger HVAC systems in response to temperature and humidity levels.

Humidistats made by Envin Scientific

Meanwhile, humidistats can monitor and control for changes in relative humidity, with electronic humidistats that provide analogue switching outputs as well as an onboard digital display to show the current humidity level. To find out about any of our humidity & temperature sensors, our wider range of gas detectors or any of the other products in the Envin Scientific catalogue, please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to help.
