Filters for use in Fluorescence applications are a speciality of the company and include both Excitation and Emission products. Designs for many different Fluorophores are available including standards such as Ethydium Bromide and for more demanding applications such as ‘Cy dyes’ or ‘Qdots’. Filters with steep transition edges and high blocking levels (OD6 +) are routinely manufactured for applications where Excitation and Emission bands lie close together or for Multiplexing applications. Filter combinations are available for use with Broadband, Laser or LED based illumination systems in the u.v., visible & nir regions.
Low auto-fluorescence substrates are routinely used together with a range of manufacturing techniques from which a selection is made depending on the application.
All of these Filters are hard, durable and environmentally stable and can therefore be produced in a variety of shapes and sizes. This final sizing step is carried out at Envin where finished filters are produced from 1mm square to >100mm diameter. Thickness can be as low as 0.2mm and special considerations such as flatness and parallelism are routinely catered for.
Detailed Optical performance measurements are made using the highest standard Spectrophotometers (Perkin Elmer Lambda 900 & 983G).
Envin is able to offer a complete service from Coating and Filter design to prototyping and full manufacture covering the Ultraviolet, Visible and Infrared regions. Custom products are a speciality of the company.
