Filters and coatings for the Near Infrared (700 – 2000nm) region are becoming increasingly important. Applications include Imaging, Telecommunications, Laser technology, ANPR and Multi-Photon Fluorescence. Cross region coatings for simultaneous use in the visible and NIR regions are also of growing interest; Envin has detailed experience regarding the careful selection of materials required to produce the desired spectral and environmental performance.
Long life coatings with low shift and temperature stability are a prerequisite, particularly as the thickness of the coatings increases with longer operating wavelengths.
All of the filter types discussed under the product tabs are available in the near infrared region.
All of the NIR Filters produced by Envin are hard, durable and environmentally stable and can therefore be produced in a variety of shapes and sizes. This final sizing step is carried out at Envin where finished filters are produced from 1mm square to >100mm diameter. Thickness can be as low as 0.2mm and special considerations such as flatness and parallelism are routinely catered for.
Detailed Optical performance measurements are made using the highest standard Spectrophotometers (Perkin Elmer Lambda 900 & 983G).
Envin is able to offer a complete service from Coating and Filter design to prototyping and full manufacture covering the Ultraviolet, Visible and Infrared regions. Custom products are a speciality of the company.
